I’m a freelance graphic designer in Cheadle and Stoke on Trent, building brands from the core. I focus on strategy, clarity, and identity that actually means something. Every project is shaped by bold ideas and thoughtful design that connects with people and cuts through the noise. Whether you’re starting fresh or evolving what’s already there, I create branding that is honest, considered, and built to last. No fluff. No off the shelf solutions. Just work that earns its place.
From local legends to bold new startups, Paper Anchor has helped over 200 clients shape their identity, grow online, and stand out where it matters most.
I don’t just tick boxes. I take the time to understand your story, your goals and your personality — so every project feels right, not rushed.
Most of our clients don't just hire me once. They come back for more because the work delivers, the trust is real and the process feels right.
From branding to beers. Many of my clients become mates. No ads, no SEO. Just good work, real results, and people talking.

Difficult to figure out how best to praise Chris at Paper Anchor Designs, step by step may be the best bet. Firstly, he provided a more personal service than I ever imagined. Brand design is something which I do not have the creative knack for but Chris not only understood the assignment, he actively sought out ways to offer his experience to benefit my cause – coming up with ideas and ways to help solve problems I didn’t even know existed. He was more of a business partner than a contractor such was his investment, constantly coming up with ideas to improve the design, accessibility, SEO, appeal, visibility - he could not be more the opposite of doing the bare minimum to get a job done. Secondly, he provided multiple iterations of logos, web pages, letterheads, business cards and put up with my consistent mind-changing with angel-like patience. Difficult to know exactly how one’s look needs to be conveyed to the public when designing from scratch but Chris understands this perfectly, offering thought-provoking designs and justifications based on the job spec to help the creative juices flow and settle on a design which ticks all the boxes. Often boxes I didn’t know I wanted ticking…! Thirdly, he’s a professional and personable individual to work with. He’s on time to meetings, prepared, works hard, communicates well and clearly takes pride in his work and his business - something I rank higher than price-point. Somebody who takes time to understand your business and your goals, offers valuable insight and does so with a smile. Look elsewhere if you want basic, churn-it-out, soulless design.Posted on Natalie StatonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I was recommended Chris last year as I was seeking advice on how to design my new business logo and can wrap. My concept is very unique so it was challenging to find inspiration on the market. Chris really put the effort in to design both my logo and my van wrap. His enthusiasm and passion for what he does stood out and I can genuinely say we will be working together going forward as I grow my business. Chris will be tasked with designing my website going forward. I wasn’t the easiest of clients as I wanted my brand to really jump out due to future expansion plans. I genuinely cannot recommend Chris enough.Posted on Cheshire BotanicalsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. For years I thought success meant awards, features, and getting noticed by the right platforms. I chased the idea that recognition equalled respect. But over time I realised none of that defined me. What does? Showing up. Staying sharp. Giving a damn. I’ve been obsessed with design since I was 15. Now at 37, that fire has not dimmed — it burns deeper. I live and breathe branding. I love how it moves people, starts conversations, shifts culture. Design is influence. It is power. And that is what I am here for. Not trophies. Just results.
