DJC Lettings — A Brand New Home on Cheadle High Street

Some projects just feel right from the very first conversation, and this was absolutely one of them.

Debbie came to me through a referral from Woods Menswear and honestly, from the moment she walked into my office, we just clicked. She is one of those people who is genuinely lovely to be around and someone I have really enjoyed working alongside throughout this whole project. When a client has that kind of energy, it makes the creative process so much easier and so much more fun.

Starting with the Logo

DJC Lettings already had a solid brand but like a lot of established businesses, it just needed a little refresh to bring it up to date. Nothing dramatic, nothing that would throw away what people already recognised. Just a subtle modernisation to make it feel fresh and relevant for a business planting its flag on Cheadle high street. We tightened it up, cleaned the lines and gave it that polished, professional feel that the business absolutely deserves.

The Shopfront Sign

This is where things get really exciting for me because there is nothing quite like seeing a sign go up and completely transform a building. This is actually my seventh shopfront on Cheadle high street now and I genuinely never get tired of that moment when it all goes up and the street just looks better for it.

For the main shopfront fascia we went with a dark background which immediately gives that premium estate agency feel you see on the best high streets. The DJC Lettings branding sits beautifully against it in white and red and we added the contact details across the sign to make sure passing footfall could grab everything they needed at a glance.

For the raised lettering and logo we used Dibond for the backing panel which gives that solid, quality feel and then Foamex and vinyl for the lettering itself. The result is that lovely three dimensional raised effect that catches the light and makes the signage look far more premium than a flat printed sign ever could. It is one of those details that people might not consciously notice but they absolutely feel it.

The Window Graphics

The window was a big opportunity and we went for it fully. A full printed graphic across the side window gives that real eye catching result that stops people in their tracks. When you are walking down a high street you want something that makes you look twice and this absolutely does that. It ties the whole shopfront together and gives DJC Lettings that confident, established presence on the street.

Inside the Office

We did not stop at the exterior either. Inside the office we installed a 3D 10mm Foamex raised sign mounted on struts against the wall and it looks absolutely brilliant. It is the kind of thing that looks great in photos but even better in person. The depth and shadow it creates on the wall gives it a real premium showroom feel.

We also added vinyl for the opening hours on the door, vinyl logos for the shelving units and all the little finishing touches that tie a space together and make it feel considered and complete rather than just thrown together.

A Special Opening

To top it all off, DJC Lettings welcomed the Mayor and Mayoress of Cheadle into the new office for the opening. What an amazing way to mark the occasion. Thank you to them for attending and for the beautiful flowers. It really was a special moment and a brilliant send off for what is a brilliant new chapter for Debbie and the team.

Proud of This One

I say this about a lot of projects because I genuinely mean it every time but this one really does stand out. Seeing Debbie’s face when it all came together, seeing the team in the office, seeing the shopfront looking that good on the high street. That is exactly why I do what I do.

If you are a business thinking about your signage, your branding or just want a fresh set of eyes on how you present yourself to the world, get in touch. I would love to have that first conversation.

Big congratulations to Debbie and the whole DJC Lettings team. Go and find them on Cheadle high street. You cannot miss them.
